All material created and distributed by The House Plan Source is subject to United States Copyright laws. Any reproduction, redistribution, or other misuse of this material constitutes theft. Our materials, including but not limited to design sketches, construction drawings, material takeoffs, and any other material distributed by The House Plan Source are protected under these copyright laws.

DO YOU OWN THE RIGHTS TO CUSTOM HPS CONSTRUCTION PLANS?

Any plans produced by The House Plan Source belong to The House Plan Source. If you have us custom design a plan for you, The House Plan Source owns 100% of the rights to these plans, and is simply selling you a license to build from these plans one time only. Reuse of these plans is strictly prohibited unless an extended license is purchased (see HOW CAN I PURCHASE AN EXTENDED LICENSE?).

HOW CAN I PURCHASE AN EXTENDED LICENSE?

We’re glad you asked! This can be accomplished by simply sending us a message or calling us at 888-828-3660. For an additional fee of 1.5x the cost of the plans, on top of the initial cost of the plans, you will be purchasing a license to build from our plans as many times as you wish.

ARE THERE CONSEQUENCES IF I BUILD YOUR PLANS MULTIPLE TIMES WITHOUT PURCHASING AN EXTENDED LICENSE?

Simply stated, yes. The House Plan Source is a business which prides itself in the production of quality construction plans and documentation. We have a lot of time invested in the development of our plans, including custom plans designed for clients like you. All we ask from you is that you follow the guidelines outlined in this section and respect our copyright.

CAN I CHANGE YOUR PLANS A CERTAIN PERCENTAGE AND STILL USE THEM?

 Any deviation from the standard plans is considered a violation of our copyright. Should you require changes, contact The House Plan Source and we will make the changes for you at an additional fee. Changes to over 30% of the original plan will be treated as a complete redesign, so the fees will be higher. If possible, keeping changes to a minimum will incur smaller fees and be the most economical for you. In any case, contact us for pricing on any changes.
